Malawi is one of the poorest countries in the world as well as presenting other great challenges such as HIV and Malaria.

One of our members - Alistair McCracken travelled out in July 2004 under the auspices of the PCI Overseas Board. He worked in Blantyre which is in the south of the country and taught at The Henry Henderson Institute. This is a secondary school for ages 11-16 year old pupils. Alistair taught computers studies, agriculture and bible knowledge as well as doing some soccer coaching. He returned home in December 2006.

Nigeria is the largest populated country in Africa with 150 million people and over 450 people groups

In the summer of 2008, Alistair again travelled overseas on this occasion with Mission Africa. He lived in Jos Plateau State and led a team who were working with orphans as well as assisting with a holiday bible club. This demanding work was with the Fulanie people who are a largely unreached group so far as Christianity is concerned. He went to test a call to future service.
